Founded in 1970 as “G.K.Vanwari Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.”, this architectural firm metamorphosed into a multidisciplinary design studio in 2010 and was renamed “Vanwari Architects”. Since its inception, the office has completed over 800 buildings and many urban projects that range from residences and large housing schemes to office complexes and public spaces.

Based in Mumbai, the office is located in the heart of the city with 4000ft² of office space. Feeding of the dynamics of a bustling megapolis the office uses it as a platform to form a vibrant practice that engages with projects of multiple scales; transversing the disciplines of interior, architecture, landscape, urban design and planning.

Today the firm is apprised by a thinktank, which consists of both young architects that bring a fresh approach to design issues as well as experienced professionals that help provide vast expertise. Together the office is committed to evolve a language of architecture that is ambitious and innovative in its conception yet practical and efficient in its execution.

For us, architectural form emerges through design decisions that can be either highly rigorous or purely intuitive.
